The Church of St. Jakob (St. James) lies on the medieval pilgrimage route that led from the Etsch valley via Nonsberg and on to Lombardy. Is is now in part a way of meditation. The apse contains an inscription referring to the consecratin of the church in 1142. At the beginning with frescoes influenced by the "Marienberg" school. The is the customary inconography with Christ in the mandorla, the sacrifice of Abraham an the sacrifices of Cain and Abel. Other frescoes are from around 1380: the Adoration of the Magi, a crucifixion scene and the life of Saint James. The tower was added in the late 14th century.
